Dat betekent dat zelfs op zo’n lage temperatuur Colour Catcher nog steeds werkt als een sterke kleurmagneet en blijkbaar kleurstof aan de kleding onttrekt. Scholtens beredeneerde dat bij wassen met toevoeging van Colour Catcher het vervalen van kleuren toeneemt. Misschien is dat waarom er 4 jaar na Scholtens artikel nog steeds volop kleur- en witwasmiddelen in de handel zijn en Colour Catcher niet meer dan een nicheproduct is.
Conclusie: Colour Catcher werkt, maar je moet als gebruiker niet al te veel waarde hechten aan de helderheid van de kleuren van je kleding
